A custom Shopify theme for a Sri Lankan fashion label

Summary

Noirelle Premium is a women's fashion store in Sri Lanka selling dresses, tops and skirts online. Ceylond designed and built a custom Shopify theme for the brand: an editorial, gallery-like storefront with size-first browsing, quick add from any product grid, clear delivery and exchange information, and a checkout path built around how Sri Lankan shoppers actually buy.

The brief

The challenge.

A new fashion label needed a store that felt premium and calm, not like another stock theme. Shoppers in Sri Lanka also expect specific things before they commit: sizes at a glance, cash on delivery, clear delivery times and an easy exchange policy.

Approach

How we approached it.

  1. 01

    Size-first browsing

Available sizes are shown on every product card, so shoppers do not click into items they cannot buy.

  2. 02

    Quick add everywhere

A quick add panel lets shoppers pick size and quantity from any grid, which keeps them browsing.

  3. 03

    Trust in the first screen

Delivery time, cash on delivery and the exchange window run in the announcement bar and repeat in the cart.

  4. 04

    Editorial, not cluttered

A restrained type system and generous white space let the photography carry the brand.

The build

  • Custom Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme with editable sections
  • Collection filters by size, category, price and availability
  • Quick add panel with size and quantity selection
  • Product pages with size guide, stock signal and instalment messaging
  • Cart with order notes and delivery estimate
  • Search overlay with popular searches and recently viewed products
  • Blog templates for search-friendly content

Noirelle Premium on a phone

Designed phone-first. Most visitors arrive on a phone, so every layout, tap target and image is tuned for small screens before desktop.

Outcome

Where it is now.

The store is live at noirellepremium.com and trading daily. The theme gives the Noirelle team full control of campaigns, collections and content through Shopify's editor.

Questions

About this project.

Is Noirelle built on a custom Shopify theme?

Yes. Ceylond designed and coded the theme for Noirelle on Shopify Online Store 2.0, with sections the team can edit themselves.

Can Ceylond build a similar Shopify store for an Australian brand?

Yes. The same approach works for any market. We adapt delivery, payment and policy messaging to Australian shoppers, including Afterpay-style instalment messaging where relevant.
