ERPNext implementation for growing businesses
One system for stock, sales and accounts.
Short answer
Ceylond implements ERPNext, the open-source ERP, for small and growing businesses. We move you off spreadsheets, set up stock, sales and accounts, and build Frappe customisations when standard features fall short. Our own Ceylond POS runs on ERPNext in a working retail store. A standard go-live starts from A$4,500£2,400US$3,000AED 11,500LKR 450,000.

Who it is for
Sound familiar?
- 01
Stock, sales and accounts live in three spreadsheets that never agree.
- 02
Per-user licence fees grow every time you hire.
- 03
Your ERP was set up once and nobody understands it now.
- 04
Off-the-shelf software forces your team into a process that does not fit.

ERPNext vs Odoo: cost and flexibility
Both cover accounting, stock and sales. Odoo charges a licence fee per user every month, while ERPNext is open source with no per-user fees, which matters as your team grows. Odoo has a larger app catalogue; ERPNext is fully open, so customisations stay yours. We recommend based on your processes, not a sales target.
02 / ERPNext implementation
Local tax and reporting
ERPNext handles multi-currency accounting and tax templates, so GST and VAT can be set up. Local filing is a different matter: Australian BAS and Single Touch Payroll, or UK Making Tax Digital, may need extra apps or your existing accounting software. We check these in discovery before you commit.

Hosting: Frappe Cloud or your own server
Frappe Cloud starts at US$5 a month for a shared site, or US$25 a month if you need custom apps. Your own server starts at about US$20 to 40 a month. We recommend Frappe Cloud for most small businesses, because upgrades and backups are managed.

- Daily backups

Questions
Your questions, answered.
Is ERPNext free?
Yes. ERPNext is open source under the GPL-3.0 licence, with no per-user fees. You pay for hosting (Frappe Cloud starts at US$5 a month for a shared site, or US$25 a month if you need custom apps) and for the implementation work: setup, data migration, training and any customisation.
ERPNext or Odoo for a small business?
Both cover accounting, stock and sales. Odoo charges a licence fee per user every month, while ERPNext has none, which matters as your team grows. Odoo has a larger app catalogue, and ERPNext is fully open, so customisations stay yours.
How long does an ERPNext implementation take?
A standard go-live with spreadsheet migration usually takes three to four weeks. Projects with custom apps, POS or integrations take six to eight weeks. The biggest factor is how clean your existing data is, so we review your spreadsheets in week one.
Does ERPNext work for Australian or UK businesses?
ERPNext handles multi-currency accounting and tax templates, so GST and VAT can be set up. Local filing such as BAS, Single Touch Payroll and Making Tax Digital may need extra apps or your existing accounting software, so we check these before you commit.
Are you an official Frappe partner?
Not at the moment. We build on ERPNext every day, including our own Ceylond POS, but we are not listed as a Frappe partner, and we will tell you if a certified partner suits your project better.
