01 / WordPress and WooCommerce
WordPress or Shopify: which suits you
WordPress suits content-led sites, blogs and stores that need unusual features, or businesses whose team already knows it. Shopify suits most small stores better, because hosting, security and checkout are managed for a monthly fee. A static Next.js site needs the least maintenance of all.
We build all three, so we recommend whichever fits your business rather than whichever we prefer to build. If you already run WordPress well, we will not tell you to move.

WordPress care and maintenance plans
Unmaintained WordPress sites are a common target for attacks. Our care plan tests every update on a staging copy first, keeps daily off-site backups, monitors uptime and security, and includes 30 minutes of edits each month, with a short report.
- Updates tested on staging
- Daily off-site backups
- Uptime and security checks
- 30 minutes of edits
- Monthly report

Questions
Your questions, answered.
How much does WordPress maintenance cost per month?
Plans on the market range from about US$39 for automated updates to US$359 for complex sites. Ceylond’s care plan costs A$89£49US$59AED 219LKR 7,900 per site a month and covers updates tested on staging, daily off-site backups, uptime and security checks, a report and 30 minutes of edits.
Is WordPress still relevant in 2026?
Yes, for content-led sites, blogs and stores that need lots of flexibility or a team that already knows WordPress. It is a weaker choice if you want very low upkeep or simple selling, where Shopify or a static site needs less maintenance.
What is white label WordPress?
White label WordPress means we do the build or maintenance work and your agency sells it under its own brand. Clients see your name on reports and emails, never ours. We sign an NDA, work in your tools, and you set the client price.
Is Shopify better than WooCommerce for small businesses?
Shopify suits most small stores because hosting, security and checkout are managed for a monthly fee. WooCommerce suits sellers who want full control, already run WordPress, or need unusual product rules; it has lower platform fees but more maintenance. We build both and can migrate between them.
Can you fix a slow or broken WordPress site?
Usually, yes. We start with a paid health check to find the cause, often a heavy page builder, too many plugins or poor hosting, then fix what we can and tell you plainly if a rebuild would cost less.
